What science ideas did you learn?

This week I learned about rays of light: Rays of Incedence and Rays of Reflectance. We learned how they are equal and can be considered equal even by +/- 0.5.

How did you learn these ideas?

We learned these ideas by holding a protractor 90 degrees over a mirror on the ground. Then take a laser pointer and shine it threw the plastic protractor, hold the laser pointer up to one of the protractor's angles and you'll see the light reflecting to the opposite side of the protractor from where you held it.

Why is it important to know this idea (What real world application is there)?

This is important to know because if I were an electrician I would need to know about the angle of incedence and the angle of reflection because I would need to know how light reflect's itself off mirrors and other objects.
